The word heritage, in this sense, covers all the treasures and interesting and unusual features of our countries. It is a historic heritage, left by our ancestors and their activities. But it is also nature - its species, its landscapes and its special characteristics.

Heritage is all the elements in the biosphere reserve. It would be impossible to present them all here. So we shall mention some of the most remarkable ones.

A remarkable heritage is one which is extraordinary, rare, or specific to a region, in the process of disappearing, or inherited from a particular event.
