Working Parties

Several working parties have been set up and some are still in activity dealing with such matters as biodiversity, rock-climbing and rocks, and education on the environment. They bring together a number of people active in a variety of organisations (associations, government and local government departments, municipal and other councillors, scientists) on both sides of the border. Thus the Biodiversity Working Party had meetings on the knowledge that had been acquired on both sides of the border on the forest, open areas, streams and wetlands, remarkable species, natural heritage inventories and Natura 2000. A specific working party has been set up on the lynx which has met a number of times.

Working parties start by providing each other with a maximum of information concerning each others activities, and then discuss and propose joint action, as is at present being done by the Education Working Party.
