Future projects

The development of a zoning system and of a joint management guide are amongst future projects. However, these projects depend on the successful creation of the various bodies and tools set out in the Protocol signed such as the Scientific Council, the working parties and the joint SIG. Cross-border cooperation comes naturally in simpler, more practical matters. Thus under Natura 2000 the document setting out the objectives agreed and the Management Plan for the River Sauer which rises in Rheinland-Pfalz and then crosses into Vosges du Nord, are being jointly produced. The establishment of a network of protected, adjacent cross-border areas will also help better preserve the area's biodiversity
