The main challenge for the two existing parks is to transform the Transfrontier Biosphere Reserve into a going concern. This will involve a number of those active on each side of the border mounting joint projects together. The Sycoparc and the Verein will attempt to implement the Reserve's objectives by encouraging local people to participate in activities in the Reserve that make the idea of sustainable development more real and more feasible for them while preserving the area's natural and cultural heritage.
