Open milieux are more closely linked to the presence of Man and his activities. They nevertheless are still home to a remarkable range of flora and fauna. In fact, many species of animal (little owls, skylarks) need these open areas to flourish.

Given that for centuries agriculture maintained these open areas as such, recent changes raise a real threat to the continued existence of these species in the area.
