Forest milieux cover more than 70% of the total area of the Vosges du Nord - Pfälzerwald Transfrontier Biosphere Reserve. They cover virtually the whole of the mountain area in the Reserve.

Worked more intensively since the beginning of the 17th C, they nevertheless contain a number of sites reputed for and protected on account of their diversity and the abundance of natural resources present. The Biosphere Reserve forests are of several different kinds... Let's discover them one by one...
