The cross-border country trail

At the heart of the cross-border biosphere reserve, running alongside and crossing the Franco-German border at various points, you can take the cross-border country trail.

During your hike, discover how man and nature are closely linked.

4 routes of different lengths, varying from 10 to 23 km, enable you to study aspects of the cross-border countryside from observation points.

All along the routes, recognisable by 4 colours shown on the orientation signs, there are blocks of sandstone 2 m high.

At each of 10 stops between Sturzelbronn, Obersteinbach and Ludwigswinkel, an orifice in each block of sandstone allows you to fix and discover a landscape. A leaflet showing the itineraries is available from "La Maison du Parc" in La Petite Pierre (France) or from Naturpark Pfälzerwald in Lambrecht (Germany).

We wish you a rich and enjoyable cross-border hike.
